A Tribute to Recent Weather
Rain
Returning
to the land from high above and at intense speeds, a myriad of heavy drops hit
the dry land,
Quenching
its thirst after a long time of skies either too blue or thin clouds unable to
stay in order to
Pacify
the green where we walk and obtain most of our food so life can continue on
lush soil that we
Often
take for granted as our world would be nothing if the dear rain suddenly
stopped everywhere.
Nighttime
slowly approaches and the rain continues to fall with a thick mist blanket that
our beloved
Mountains
produce in order to hide its mysteries amongst its trails and valleys also
needing water for
Life
to green in the form of delicate leaves to create a green sea full of massive
waves to astound eyes,
Keeping
the scenery special with the gift of sky water made of tiny droplets that has
traveled for miles
Just
to provide a few units of relief on dirt that has dried out and cracked during
the wait for an almost
Impossible
occasion where everything is bathed in grey where the sun can’t reach, so the
ground can
Hold
onto the gift of nature and recover until the next mysterious time when the
skies open up again.
Great
bodies of water aren’t everywhere, but rain can help to provide life as the
drops travel in soil to
Find
deep reserves that spread out to dryer areas to create a small slice of
paradise in places where an
Echo
of precipitation is only seen by those who call the middle of nowhere their
home and sanctuary.
Deluges
and blizzards can’t happen every day as too much land would be buried in ugly
mud or quickly
Covered
in too much ice for young, fragile plants to reach the surface and feel the
warmth of a gentle
Blue
sky graced with the light of the sun and grow taller to obtain more of the
light that produces life.
Across
our world there are places that gets too much rain or barely enough for green
to thrive in such
Zones
of desolation without human intervention to bring water to places of vast sand
and heavy stone
Yearning
in silence for a few tiny flowers or thin leaves to appear, providing a little
color in places of
Extreme
isolation in sparsely populated landscapes where even the thinnest of clouds
seldom wander.
Whether
we get a few drops every day or a small flood once a month, we all need rain to
heal when
Victories
over our hardships take forever and the sounds of raindrops on rooftops and
through trees
Unlocking
our minds and soon our bodies so we can rest tranquilly as the skies continue
to rage above.
Tomorrow
the rain will be gone, but as the sun warms the ground, new vapors slowly rise
into the air
Soaring
together to form a new cloud high in the sky, gathering relief to bestow on
another dry place.
